I tried to see the video on how to paint and peel but it's not working. Do you need to paint it right away? How do you peel it off?

Is it hard to remove the vinyl because of the modge layer?

What vinyl did you use?

Do you need to paint the canvas first?

I painted them with craft paint and I dont like how they look. I am making a planter with the foam wreaths stacked and glued. would it be ok to spray paint over it now? with the stone look paint?

You need acrylic paint for styrofoam.

You are spraying it too close to the foam. What melts the foam is the propellant inside. Spray it from 12+ inches and the propellant evaporates before it hits the foam.

you can also rust bands by pressure cooking in tap water @ 15psi for a few hours (no vinegar or salt)

Best for looks..spray spools with gold paint..just to cover where fabric does not . Used to be able to buy thread with gold plastic spools..🇨🇦

Don't forget to add a paper mache stem or stem made from air dry clay. I like when they have the little vine curlicue.

ironically this video had a lot of great examples for how to get varying depths of texture on your styrofoam if you're melting it on purpose... controlled melting... for aquarium backgrounds. If you are intrigued by this concept just do your research on aquarium safe sealers, other hobbyist have had luck with krylon fusion in terms of spray paints; some spray paints are not safe for various reasons.

Acrylic spray paint may work

I need a really lightweight picture frame because my new apartment building doesn't allow large nails or hangers in their walls. I'm glad I saw this video because my idea was to construct a frame out of styrofoam and spray paint it. That idea's dead. Would the same thing happen with craft paint applied with a brush?

Hi, I just got a scroll saw today, but am a little nervous as the wood seems to be bouncing a little bit. Do you have your saw bolted down to prevent as much vibration?

It’s easy to successfully spray paint styrofoam. But this video is even more wrong in technique than information. Simply hold the can straight up and down when spraying. The propellants cause the melting and spraying downward only makes them pool and destroy your work. Propellant evaporates so fast you can spray a burst every 3-5 seconds with the can vertical. Try 3=5 sec sprays, wait 10 seconds, repeat till it’s perfect. Krylon Fusion is hands down the best spray and when cured is even safe in aquariums.

If you keep can 2 feet from foam, light coats, it should not melt.

Omg thank you. Another video said to be generous with the mod podge, so that's what I did and the paint peeled up on the edge of every letter 😭 definitely going to use less mod podge next time
